Stromboli

An Italian dish that the whole family will love!

Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated pizza dough
  • 1/2 pound mild Italian sausage
  • 1/2 package Pepperoni
  • 1 cup pasta sauce
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 egg, beaten

Instructions

  1. Cook Italian sausage in pan until browned. Drain. 

  2. Heat oven to 350 degrees.

  3. Place parchment paper on a cookie sheet lightly flour. Spread dough out to form a large rectangle.

  4. Spread a thin layer of sauce on dough. Layer on cheese then sausage. Place a layer of pepperoni on top.

  5. Starting on long side of dough, carefully roll one third of Stromboli. Using parchment, roll dough again until reaching opposite end. Pinch ends together. Gently press seam closed.  

  6. Brush egg over Stromboli and sprinkle with Italian Seasoning to taste.

  7. Bake for approximately 20 to 25 minutes, until top in nicely golden.  Remove from oven and let rest for 10 minutes.

  8. Serve with warm sauce.
